IPSERA (International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association) has named Audencia as one of its academic centres of excellence.

The Association’s executive committee also officially recognised the French-based school as a regional ‘node’ – a key player within its network. There are currently only 12 nodes and 4 academic centres of excellence worldwide. The IPSERA award is valid for three years.

Within the same sector, the school is already accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Audencia was the first school in continental Europe to receive this honour.

The school recently opened its own pole or centre of purchasing and supply in nearby Saint-Nazaire, home to both a busy shipyard and to an Airbus factory. The pole’s activity includes a research chair in global purchasing and supply chain management plus a specialised Masters programme in the subject. IPSERA is a multi-disciplinary worldwide network of academics and practitioners which is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge concerning purchasing and supply management, and each year organises a high-level international conference on purchasing and supply. Affiliated with IFPMM (International Federation for Purchasing and Materials Management), IPSERA currently has around 200 members.
