Practical details

Examination & credit

Students receive a grade for each module. This is based on the results of tests, exams and/or project work. Credit obtained for coursework at Nantes is transferable to many US universities.

Examinations are based on readings and lectures.
NB: It is also possible to take part in the summer school programme without taking courses for credit transfer.

Teaching & resources

Students are not required to buy textbooks. Teaching material is developed by faculty and distributed to students. Classroom teaching is supplemented by readings and cases/exercises to be prepared outside of class.
Resources available to students include a library with a certain number of books and reviews in the English language, workstations for PC and a language laboratory.

Room and Board

Students are housed with carefully selected families living in Nantes who will provide lodging for the whole period. Our selected families only host foreign students as they want to share an experience with different cultures and practice a foreign language. They will do their best to integrate the student in the heart of a French family and French culture.

Continental breakfast and dinner are provided from Monday morning until Thursday morning included. Other alternatives are available for students who do not wish to stay with a family with the food arrangements detailed above. Details are available on request.
