Audencia appoints a Director of Global Responsibility

In a move to strengthen its commitment to environmental, social and economic best practices, Audencia Nantes has appointed its first Director of Global Responsibility.

The post will be occupied by member of faculty André Sobczak, previously in charge of the school’s Centre for Global Responsibility.

The 35 year old, began his career at Audencia in 2001. As well as creating and overseeing the research centre, he has also coordinated the launch of the school’s global responsibility trophies and developed a specific study track for students of Audencia Master in Management (Grande Ecole programme).

Last September, André Sobczak was named European « rising star » in the area of global responsibility by the Aspen Institute and EABIS (European Academy for Business in Society).

The creation of this new directorship underlines Audencia’s aim of remaining a forerunner in this field by fully integrating the principles of global responsibility into its teaching, research and internal management systems. The school’s leading role in the area dates from 2004 when it became the first French school to sign the UN’s Global Compact.

Audencia Nantes is also one of only three French-based schools whose MBAs feature among the world’s top 100 for global responsibility according to US organisation Beyond Greypinstripes.
