Scholarship scheme brings Indians to Audencia

A scholarship scheme launched by major naval equipment manufacturer DCNS will allow handpicked Indian students to study at Audencia Nantes.

The scholarships, which will be complemented by extra benefits offered by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will mean a select group of Indian students will be able to study management at Audencia or mechanical engineering at Ecole Centrale de Nantes.

The scholarship students have been chosen by a panel comprising the management of DCNS and engineering experts from different institutions in Delhi, Dehra Dun, Lucknow and Bangalore.

As part of their programme the Indian students will also carry out internships at a DCNS facility in the Nantes region.

Commenting on the scholarships, French Ambassador to India Jerome Bonnafont said: “We would like to build on a network between India and France. These mobility grants and consequential professional and cultural enhancement will help establish strong ties.”
