Audencia wins award for one of the best courses in the world

The Aspen institute has given 20 courses across the world the "Ideas Worth Teaching" awards. These courses help tackle society's largest challenges. The “Alternative Economic Models” course by Sandrine Stervinou, professor at Audencia Business School and head of the Business & Society department, is the only European course to receive the prestigious award this year.

The 20 courses selected by the Aspen Institute are taught as part of an MBA or equivalent programs. They are considered “exceptional courses that are preparing future business leaders to tackle society’s largest challenges and create a more inclusive, just, and sustainable version of capitalism”. Other winners include courses from Yale, Harvard and Cornell University as well as Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

The Alternative Economic Models course is for students with a general education in economics. It provides an overview of new business models and alternative solutions to conventional economic theories. The objective of this course is to make students aware of the fact that the world is changing very rapidly.

This course was developed with the support of Elvire Bornand, Céline Louche, Laura Nirello, Cécile Renault and Claire-Isabelle Roquebert of Audencia Business School.
