MCIS 2025 Junior Faculty & Doctoral Consortium (JFDC) – Call for Applications
The Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (MCIS) 2025 invites junior faculty and doctoral students to submit applications to participate in the MCIS 2025 JFDC.
The Consortium offers PhD students and researchers at an early stage of their careers in the broad field of Management Information Systems, a unique opportunity to present their research work, receive constructive feedback from senior scholars and peers, and build their academic network. It is designed for junior faculty and students at different stages of their research process, from early proposal development to more advanced research.
Participants will be split into small groups based on their research focus and their career stage in order to promote collaboration. Each panel will involve multiple faculty members and students.

- Enhance participants’ professional development and academic career prospects
- Doctoral students who are conducting research in the broad field of Information Systems
- Students at any stage of their dissertation (early, mid, or later stages) are welcome
- Preference may be given to students who have formulated their research questions and initial research design
The JFDC is free of charge for all doctoral students and junior faculty (within 5 years of PhD completion) registered for the MCIS 2025 Conference.
Doctoral students and junior faculty not registered for the Conference will be given the possibility to participate in the JFDC (including panels and plenary workshops) by paying a registration fee of … €. This fee is for the JFDC only and does not include participation in the MCIS 2025 conference sessions and coffee breaks.
Applicants are invited to submit the following materials:
- Research Summary (max 3,000 words, excluding references): Research problem and motivation; Research questions or objectives ; Theoretical foundations ; Research method ; Preliminary findings (if any) ; Planned next steps ; Challenges faced

Submissions should be prepared in PDF format, following MCIS submission guidelines, and uploaded via pouloudi@aueb.gr AND isabelle.walsh@skema.edu
Submissions will be reviewed by the Doctoral Consortium Co-Chairs and a panel of faculty mentors. Selection will be based on the quality of the submission, the stage of research, and the potential benefit to the participant from attending the Consortium.
