Biography

Biographie
I hold a PhD in Economics from Université Rennes 1, where I also completed a Master’s degree in Economics, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics at UNAM. My expertise mainly encompasses vocational training systems, environmental policies, and empirical (statistical and econometric) analysis applied to public policies in the fields of education and the environment. I also specialize in behavioral economics, with a particular emphasis on environmental challenges.Throughout my career, I have published several research articles and delivered presentations at national and international academic conferences (including FAERE and AFSE). My work, accessible under the name Sebastian Irigoyen on Google Scholar, reflects my most recent contributions to institutional analysis and environmental policy.I am currently an affiliated researcher at ESSCA, following my previous position at the Centre de Recherche en Économie et Management (CREM) in Rennes, and I teach economics in France (ESSCA and UCO). I also serve as a guest professor in a Master’s program in Ecuador. My professional background includes consulting assignments for international organizations such as the European Commission, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the International Labour Organization (ILO).These varied experiences have enabled me to develop solid proficiency in statistical tools (STATA, R) and innovative approaches to research and public policy evaluation. I leverage my language skills (French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese) to carry out interdisciplinary projects and excel in multicultural environments. My objective is to contribute to sustainable economic solutions, placing particular importance on rigorous policy analysis and the tangible impact of my work on society.
