Biographie
I hold a PhD in Economics from SOAS, University of London. I have worked as a teaching assistant during my PhD at SOAS. Courses I taught there included, macroeconomics, microeconomics and banking and finance. I joined UEL in January 2015, and I am currently an Associate Professor in Economics. I have taught several courses, such as Ethics in Banking (MSc), Behavioural Economics, Applied Research Project, Econometrics, Investment Game etc. I am the main supervisor for 2 doctorate students. I also have several publications, some of which include: Spatial dependence and internal capital markets (2024) Journal of Money Credit and Banking; Booking positions in small offshore financial centres: Focus on US global banks (2024), International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance; An evolution of global and regional banking network: A focus on Japanese banks’ international expansion (2023), Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, Banks during the pandemic: A Japanese perspective, (2022) Journal of Economic Issues; Bank Liquidity creation: A new global dataset for emerging and developing countries, (2021) Review of World Economics. My latest publication is the book, International Banking in Global Perspective. Routledge was published in March 2024.
