The workshop took place on 28-29 April 2022 in the Lancaster Castle. This workshop focuses on the concept of resilience and its multiple interpretations through the lenses of planet, place and people – all within the context of family business. The group of 40 participants include representatives of family business (individually and representative bodies); policy makers, and academic contributors. The workshop will expose participants to multiple perspectives on resilience and explore how these perspectives - and the conversations they engender - inform our collective understanding and potential future actions.
Keynote 1: The planet and resilience
Keynote 2: Places, people and resilience
Panel one: Family businesses at the heart of local economic resilience
Panel two: Gender dynamics and their relationship to family business, wellbeing and resilience
