Biography
Dr. Leonardo Marques is Associate Professor in Supply Chain Management at Audencia Business School. Prior to Audencia, he was Assistant Professor at Coppead Graduate School of Business, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2016-2021). Leonardo holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2016) and he has 20+ years of managerial and consultancy experience with a particular focus on retail, fashion and consumer goods. Leonardo has published in the Production & Operations Management (FT50 & ABS4), Journal of Supply Chain Management (ABS 4), International Journal of Production Economics (FNEGE 1), International Journal of Operations & Production Management (ABS 4), among others. He is currently Associate Editor for Journal of Supply Chain Management (ABS 4), International Journal of Operations and Production Management (ABS 4), Journal of Purchasing & Supply Management (ABS 3) .
He is the former President of the International Purchasing and Supply Education and Research Association (IPSERA) for the 2023-2026 term.
His research has been supported by the Brazilian Foundations such as FAPERJ (the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), International Foundations such as the C&A (Laudes) Foundation, and private companies including Coca-cola Company, Cartesi Blockchain, among others.
His research interest lies in supply chain transparency, modern slavery, the labour supply chain, carbon emissions, and the societal impact of supply chains.
