Portrait: Julie Motard, at the heart of student life on the Paris Campus

Julie Motard
Who is Julie?

Before joining Audencia, Julie worked for an association that supported and provided accommodation for scholarship students attending preparatory classes in Paris. These young people were preparing to enter business and engineering schools. This experience shaped her vision and commitment: “It came quite naturally to me to say that the next step was to support students once they were in the Grandes Ecoles,” she says.

Today, Julie is the Student Life Advisor at Audencia's Paris Campus. Her role? To be an essential point of contact for students, responding to their needs and supporting them in sometimes complex situations. “Having someone to talk to face-to-face is reassuring,” she explains, emphasizing the importance of physical proximity to complement the support offered by the team based in Nantes.

A variety of activities for a lively campus

Julie is involved in all aspects of student life, working closely with the Nantes team.

She is available to advise students and answer their questions on various topics related to student life, such as financing and administrative procedures for international students.

She also works with Salima KDROUCI, a nurse on the Paris Campus, to improve student health and well-being by developing awareness campaigns and activities around mental health. Students can make an appointment with Salima via this link or by emailing <medical2@audencia.com>.

As a BeeSafe officer, Julie is also available to listen to students who are victims or witnesses of physical, sexist, or sexual violence, discrimination, or harassment, and to support them in their efforts.

Finally, Julie supports the campus student association, Henosis, in its activities and organizes events with the aim of energizing student life and creating connections.

Challenges ahead

The biggest challenge? Continuously improving the student experience on the Paris Campus. Julie works with all members of the Student Life department to develop existing programs. She also works to raise the profile of services and create special events designed to bring the campus to life and foster a sense of belonging within the student community.

Upcoming projects for student life on the Paris Campus

Julie's main priorities are to structure student associations. Currently, Henosis is the only association on the Paris Campus. It includes the Student Office (BDE), the Sports Office (BDS), and the Clubs Office (BDC). The goal is to create several separate entities: a BDE, a BDS, and a finance association, to begin with. This will facilitate the development of their activities.

Another major project will be moving into the new building, the SPOT, to settle in and launch a new dynamic of engagement.

Julie has a strong conviction: to develop initiatives around student life and well-being so that everyone can find their place and fully enjoy their Audencia experience.
