Biography

Biographie

Daniel EVANS is a professor of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Innovation at Audencia Business School, a leading French business school in Nantes, France. Dan joined the School in 2017 and has been head of the Entrepreneurship specialisation in the school's Bachelor programme since 2020. His research interests include adult learning and development, innovation and organizational agility. He currently teaches course in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Strategy, Strategic Information Intelligence, Power and Influence, Conflict Management, Creativity, Learning Strategies, CSR Management, Andragogy and other related subjects.

Dan has worked numerous years in learning development and innovation with focus on technology enhanced learning, adapted learning, peer-based learning, competencies based learning, social learning networks, artificial intelligence applied to learning and self-directed learning. He is Senior Fellow HEA and is actively involved in the development of teaching skills across the institution. He has also accompanied numerous companies in creating talent development systems and contributes regularly to the train-the-trainer FormActors programme created by Act4Talents in Lyon, France. 

From 1999 to 2017, Dan was professor at emlyon business school and served as its Chief Innovation Officer. In these roles, he oversaw the development of pedagogical innovations with particular focus on the digital transformation of pedagogy and the role digital technologies in both formal and informal learning.

Dan holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Economics. He started his academic career upon his arrival in France in 1993.  He has since been Director of MBA programmes, Head of technology based learning activities and Dean of Executive Education.

Aside from his teaching and research responsibilities, Dan designs and facilitates training programmes for academic and corporate learners. His areas of expertise include organizational development, change management, participative innovation, creativity, political agility and organizational learning.
